
ABOUT ME
Dr. Joshua Crum specializes in arthroscopy and the treatment of all sports-related
injuries. He has particular interest
in the arthroscopic treatment of shoulder, elbow, and knee disorders. He provides
state-of-the art care for a wide
variety of sports injuries, whether resulting from an acute trauma or overuse. In
addition he cares for general
orthopedic conditions including fracture care and performs knee and shoulder
replacement.
A 1998 graduate of the University of Minnesota, Dr. Crum
graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry. He
then earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Following medical school he did his
Orthopedic residency at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. After his residency he
spent an additional year in
fellowship training with the renowned Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama, where he
focused on the treatment of
athletic injuries. During his fellowship he cared for athletes of all levels, and
learned the most advanced methods and
techniques to return athletes to their sport. He began practice in Texas in 2008.
Dr. Crum is on the medical staff at Seton Hays Medical Center and at Central Texas
Medical Center. He is a member of
Tri-County Medical Society serving Hays, Blanco, and Comal, as well as a number of
professional societies including the
Arthroscopy Association of North America, Texas Medical Association, and the American
Sports Medicine Fellowship
Society. He is the co-team physician for Texas State Athletics.
