ABOUT ME
Dr. Drake Borer
is a Board Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon with over 20 years of experience diagnosing,
treating and managing the multiply injured patient, including the treatment of complex
pelvis and acetabular fractures as the long-term sequela of trauma including non-union and
deformity surgery.
Dr. Borer graduated from Rice University in 1989 with a BA in Biology. After graduation, he attended The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his residency at Southwestern in 1998 and an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in 1999. After 4 years as an Assistant Professor in Orthopedics at Southwestern, he relocated to Austin to become a Co-Founder of the town’s first full time Orthopedic Trauma Practice.
In his free time, Dr. Borer enjoys sailing, traveling and spending
time with his family.
